EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy revealed that she had recently had a real-life bit of family drama as her daughter Joanie had a nasty accident and broke her arm. It came just weeks after she had the plates removed from the time she had previously broken it.
Speaking on her Life with Nat podcast, the Sonia Fowler actor revealed that: "Joanie's broken her arm again, everybody. Same arm. Smashed to pieces. General anaesthetic. Same operation."
She explained that her fiancé Marc Humphreys had set up the paddling pool in the garden when the phone rang, with the school on the other end.

"She slipped over in the hall before doing PE," Natalie continued, stating that had only been eight weeks since her daughter went under general anaesthetic to have the metal removed.
"I felt I was going to have a nervous breakdown on Tuesday, actually," she admitted. "I'm being really honest here. I really fell to pieces.

Natalie and Marc did find the funny side of the whole thing, joking that they were now on first-name terms with the anaesthetist.
The parents did ponder if Joanie had some sort of condition that meant her arm was really susceptible to breaking, but her blood tests had all come back fine and the consultant told them that it was just bad luck.
