EastEnders' Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin receive some joyous news next week in their recent adoption journey. The couple have been looking to expand their family by becoming parents together, and their wish will soon be fulfilled.
In today's episode, Suki is in a noticeably bad mood as Vinny Panesar prepares to move in with Penny Branning, before the arrival of their baby. Her grief and guilt is increased by the fact that it has been five years since her son Jags died in prison.

With her eldest son Kheerat also currently behind bars, Suki reaches out to her estranged daughter Ash, but ends up talking to her voicemail instead. She later clashes with Nicola Mitchell who tells her she's a terrible mother, verbalising Suki's own fear.
In tomorrow's episode, Suki tries to focus on the adoption panel, but another run-in with Nicola leaves her feeling rattled. Her anxiety continues when the panel begin questioning her over her past parenting.

Overwhelmed Suki rushes off before the meeting is over, with heartbroken Eve worried about the outcome. And when Nicola spots another opportunity for a dig at Suki, hot-headed Eve lashes out, potentially costing them their adoption dream.
Things start to look up next week however, as it turns out the panel have approved the pair as acceptable guardians, and place a child called Ria in their care. But the happy news doesn't come without its challenges as they struggle to connect with the young girl.

Despite the rough start, Eve and Suki remain determined to provide a secure home for Ria and focus on moving forward with her. Will Suki be able to make up for her past parenting mistakes?
"It looks like Suki and Eve's dream is finally coming true, as young girl Ria is placed in their care!" our EastEnders insider said. "After a dramatic week, packed with twists and turns, the couple get the chance to be mums together at last.
"Things don't go entirely smoothly to begin with, but Suki and Eve are putting on a united front and are totally focused on building their new family."
