EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders fans have called for another Moon family member to come back after the news that Jake will be returning. It was revealed yesterday that the character will be heading back to Albert Square for a brief stint following the dramatic events at Christmas.

Responding to the news on social media, however, some fans want the show to go even bigger, suggesting EastEnders bring back relative Spencer too.

"Okay, now bring back Spencer too!" one wrote on X, another adding: "We wanted [Spencer] but we got Jake Moon instead."

A third said they "can't wait" to see Jake back in the fold, though wondered "if Spencer will come back" as well, a fourth echoing that the soap will "hopefully [include] a surprise Spencer return".

Meanwhile, a fifth beamed of Jake's comeback: "Omg yesss epic news, so loved his brief return last year. Shame it was so small. Well, this time just bring him permanently. also bring back Spencer too. Miss the rest of the Moon family. #EastEnders."

Meanwhile, Jake actor Joel Beckett has addressed his comeback, saying "it was really lovely to step back onto the Square after all this time and revisit Jake".

"Being back working alongside familiar faces, as well as some brilliant new ones, was a real joy and it was good to know that Jake had been out there, alive and well," he added.

Joel further teased: "He returns carrying plenty of unanswered questions and the storyline takes him in some unexpected directions with real twists and turns. I’m excited for people to see what he’s been up to."

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
