Christmas has officially arrived on the set of EastEnders, with one cast member posting that the team has finished work for their festive break. But before signing off for 2026, a delightful gift has been delivered to fans, roping in several familiar faces.

Heather Peace, who plays Eve Panesar-Unwin on the soap, took to Instagram today to share a little treat that also involves Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater), Colin Salmon (George Knight), Zaraah Abrahams (Chelsea Fox), Thomas Law (Peter Beale) and Paul Bradley (Nigel Bates).

It's a very impressive performance of seasonal favourite 'Winter Wonderland', featuring some vocal harmonies as well as instrumental accompaniment from Peace, Bradley, Salmon and Law.

Peace captioned it: "It’s a wrap here @bbceastenders. Here’s a little under rehearsed gift for you. Our Christmas jam."

She added: "Happy Christmas and a joyous NY to one and all."

Fans and colleagues lapped it up, with Diane Parish (Denise Fox) calling it "Brilliant" and Clair Norris – who played Bernadette Taylor – writing: "You guys" along with a string of emojis.

"I love this so much! So many talented and beautiful people, merry Christmas to you all," praised one fan; while another said: "Wow what a joyous video."

In addition to being a lauded actor, Peace is, of course, also a prolific musician, having released five albums between 2012 and 2018.

The cast and crew of EastEnders might be able to enjoy a well-earned rest now, but the drama for their characters is set to ramp up over the coming weeks.

Looking further ahead towards New Year, the soap will pull off a special flashforward episode, with the action showing Max Branning a year on from the present day.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
