EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (13 November), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has aired emotional exit scenes for Junior Knight, as he leaves Walford for a fresh start abroad. But Junior used his final hours on the Square wisely, helping to protect the future of a member of his family…
This week, Junior revealed that he had accepted a job back in Dubai and was leaving imminently, desperate to build a closer relationship with his son Xavier.
Junior has been at odds with his own dad George, in the aftermath of the dramatic events this week – that saw Harry fatally stab Okie while protecting Kojo, and Teddy take the fall for the crime.
In today’s episode, Junior wanted to spend some time with Kojo before he left, but George was still cautious about his brother following his ordeal, and he was dealing with Kobina’s calls for Kojo to return to Ghana.

Kojo got another scare while out with Anna when he spotted a hooded man and feared that Ravi’s gang was still out to get him.
When George learned about this, he admitted that Kojo might be safer in Ghana – but Kojo overheard this and refused to go. Junior spotted Kojo trying to find Harry and managed to calm down his panicking uncle.
Junior was furious that his dad was planning to send Kojo away and they had a huge row about what was best for him.

Determined for Kojo to stick around, Junior took matters into his own hands and called round to see Ravi, who was in hiding following recent events.
Junior forced Ravi to promise that no one would come after Kojo again, especially when the case went to trial in the future, and Ravi agreed.
Later, Junior assured George that there was no longer a risk to Kojo. The pair repaired their relationship in time and had one last boxing session together.

As Junior put his belongings in the car, Cindy returned to Walford and the former lovers had one last conversation as they reflected on the time they spent together.
Junior said goodbye to the Knight family, and as a kind gesture, he gave Kojo his car. But as he departed the Square, he took one final swipe at Nicola – who made a horrifying discovery in today’s episode…
