EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (5 November), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has aired a major development in the harrowing drugs storyline, after Harry Mitchell and Kojo Asare finally managed to escape Okie Okyere’s clutches. As Harry makes a brave decision, there are huge consequences for another Walford resident…
Harry has been held hostage in Kojo’s flat for weeks and has grown dangerously weak and dependent on drugs. Kojo was able to call for help, and Teddy and George found him before he could be taken away by Okie and his gang.
The community was left reeling in today’s episode, and the Knights were devastated that Kojo had been a victim of cuckooing – when vulnerable adults are exploited for criminal purposes.
Nicola returned to the Square and rushed to the hospital to see Harry, and Teddy explained that their son had suffered bruised ribs and had been given methadone for drug withdrawals.

George was furious that Nicola hadn’t told him about what was happening to Kojo during their relationship, but she pleaded with him not to say anything about Harry’s involvement.
Meanwhile, hospitalised Kojo was asked questions about the gang by the police, but he was scared and refused to say anything.
George assured his brother that he wasn’t in trouble, making him realise that Okie was never his friend. But Kojo still didn’t want to give any names, in fear that his family would be killed.

With Kojo keen to leave Harry out of the conversation, George visited his ward and raged at Harry for his actions – though it was confirmed that the police will treat him as a victim as well.
George urged Harry to tell the police everything he knows so that no one else has to go through a similar ordeal to Kojo.
Harry felt a responsibility to do the right thing, so he gave the police the names of all the people involved and identified Ravi as the ringleader of the operation.

Back in Walford, Ravi made plans to run away, but he didn’t escape in time. The police barged into his house and arrested him for supplying controlled drugs and human trafficking – to the horror of Priya.
