Zoe Slater was hit with a tough ultimatum in tonight's EastEnders as she remained evasive about her past. Will it ruin everything?
Viewers will know that things have been tense between Zoe and her mum Kat Slater since Zoe returned to Walford, with Zoe staying tight-lipped about what she has been up to for the past 20 years.
In last week's episodes, Zoe, Kat and Stacey Slater were held hostage by a man named Greg in The Vic in a tense showdown in which it was revealed that Zoe had given birth to two children, giving one up after the other died.
In today's episode, the Slaters were still in shock following the ordeal from the night before, and Jean was riled at Kat for the danger that Zoe put Kat and Stacey in, saying: "You could've got killed."
When Zoe overheard the conversation, she tried to defend herself to Kat, Alfie and Stacey, but the family became suspicious when she continued to evade the truth about her past.

"My baby girl died in that hospital. I looked at my boy and thought, if I can't keep her alive, how am I going to be able to take care of him? I can't even take care of myself," Zoe said before Kat agreed to help Zoe hire a private investigator to find her grandchild.
After DS Spencer arrived, she told the family that Greg had been charged with attempted murder, but Zoe would need to come in for questioning after Greg accused her of assaulting him.

Kat begged Phil Mitchell for his support, asking him for some money to help Zoe. Kat managed to pull through, hiring Phil's lawyer Ritchie for Zoe, who arrived while Zoe was being questioned. Zoe was released without charge.
Back at home, Kat continued to question Zoe about her past, but when Kat asked Zoe who the mystery man she was with when she attacked Greg, Zoe refused to answer.
Giving Zoe an ultimatum, Kat said: "Until you stop hiding things and you tell me everything. I'm sorry Zo, but I can't give you the money to find him."
