EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (26 August), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has confirmed Oscar Branning’s fate, after a huge cliffhanger where he confessed to his secret crime.

With Jack and Denise having discovered that Oscar was responsible for Patrick’s attack, it seemed that the teen’s luck had finally run out. But Lauren managed to persuade them to stay quiet, fearing that her little brother couldn’t hack another prison stint.

While he was technically in the clear, Oscar couldn’t cope with the guilt anymore and finally told Patrick the grisly truth.

Patrick was devastated by this revelation in today’s episode, and the shock brought on another panic attack.

Lauren refused to play ball and told Howie to persuade the family not to report Oscar – or she’d make sure the whole truth came out at the station.

After seeking advice from Cindy, Peter finally put his foot down and kicked Oscar out of the house, telling Lauren that she had to think about their kids and cut ties with her brother.

Back at the house, Howie pled Oscar’s case, but Kim thought it strange that he was defending the teen, given their recent fight.
