EastEnders saw Jay Brown punch Callum Highway in a heated confrontation following Jay's arrest for possession of drugs.

Grieving Jay has been struggling to deal with the death of his wife Lola Pearce-Brown, and he turned to newcomer Nadine as a non-sexual sleeping companion before later buying ketamine from her.

Jay's actions have caused arguments back at home after Ben Mitchell accused him of not spending enough time with Lola's daughter Lexi. Equally, Callum grew concerned after spotting him with Nadine, who he knew to be a sex worker.

In tonight's (October 11) episode, Callum pleaded with Jay to stop using the drug and seek counselling, leading to a tense moment between the pair.

Jay returned home after spending the night in a prison for his drug offence to another grilling from Ben about disappearing all night. However, Jay was shocked to learn that it was Callum who had tipped the police off about Nadine dealing drugs, leaving him feeling betrayed.

Ben insisted that Callum talk to Jay about getting counselling, suspicious that his husband was hiding information about Jay's recent disappearances.

Meanwhile, Jay revealed to Nadine that Callum had been behind the police tip-off. Concerned for her future, Nadine insisted they no longer see each other. However, Jay pleaded with her to continue meeting with him and asked for more ketamine to replace the drugs the police confiscated.

Later on, Callum tried to broach the idea of counselling with Jay but was left frustrated after catching him with drugs again. Callum told Jay him he was unfit to be a parent to Lexi in his current state.

"At the moment you aren't fit to be her dad, you aren't fit to be anywhere near her," Callum said.

The comment saw Jay finally snap and he punched Callum in anger, leaving the pair both shocked by the severity of his actions.
