Rocky later decides to invite Ian, Cindy and Peter over for lunch under the ruse that Kathy wants them all to bury the hatchet.
Rocky's secret agenda for this is eventually rumbled, and the peace talks quickly turn into chaos.
Kathy and Rocky later go house-hunting and put an offer on a studio flat, but unbeknown to Kathy, they don't have the funds to pay for the deposit due to Rocky's gambling.
At the end of the week, Kathy tells Reiss that her and Rocky are moving out, but they change their mind following Reiss's response.
Discussing Rocky's financial situation, Brian Conley – who plays him – said: "He's extremely worried about how it's going to progress. He doesn't know where he's going to find this money and he thinks his only way out is gambling which is obviously a fools game.
"He thinks if he can possibly win some money he can repay it slowly. Of course as we all know, that is a downward spiral, you're never going to win at the bookies."
Brian continued: "One of Rocky's quotes is, 'the only people that ever win at the bookies are the bookies' but I wish he would listen to himself sometimes and I wish he would listen to Harvey because Harvey has some really good advice for him. He just seems to be determined to somehow get this money back his own way.
"Rocky does have a problem where he tends to dig himself a big hole and you think he might as well sit round a dinner table and have a cup of tea with Kathy and just tell her the truth.
"But in true Rocky fashion he's trying to keep this from her because he wants to be the provider, and he wants to help Kathy because he loves her so much."
Brian confirmed last month that he's leaving his role as Rocky after two years.
