EastEnders star Heather Peace has revealed a change that was made to a recent scene between Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin.

While the pair are no longer together, Suki has shown support for Eve amid the Caz storyline revolving around the death of Eve's twin sister a few decades ago.

In one recent scene, Eve can be seen resting her head on Suki's lap amid her ordeal, and Heather has confirmed that the moment wasn't originally in the script in response to a fan questioning whether it was.

"That deep connection between the two is always there, but this is the first time that their relationship isn't at the forefront of Eve's mind," she said.

"It's the first time that we see that there is something bigger than that for her. It's not in her mind at all, but it makes sense that it's her soul mate who finds her, and Eve can talk very openly to Suki."

Speaking further about the storyline, Heather said: "It was interesting for me to go back to explore that darker side of Eve. It's the reason why her entire world collapsed, and there's a lot more in her back story that we could look at."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
