EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has confirmed the return of an absent character for later this month, as part of Lola Pearce's heartbreaking storyline.
Viewers last saw Billy Mitchell on screen in February, when Phil told him he had a job for him that required him to leave Walford. Billy was reluctant, since his granddaughter is terminally ill, but relented.
When Lola found out that she has only a few months left to live, she made her family promise not to tell Billy, as she wanted to tell him herself when he returned. It looks like that'll be happening the week after next, as revealed in the official BBC episode synopsis.
