EastEnders is lining up a shock discovery for Sonia Fowler.
An upcoming storyline will see Sonia's inheritance from Dot Branning revisited, as she learns she owes a significant amount of money as an inheritance tax on the house.
Sonia can't figure out where she will find the money to pay off the tax debt. When she turns to Dot's great-nephew Reiss Colwell, he says that he's not in a position to help.

Jonny Freeman arrived in the soap as part of Dot's funeral storyline and at the time he teased the possibility of a romance between Reiss and Sonia.
"He's introduced to the Square, there's a spark with Sonia. I wouldn't say he's a human dynamo but he's got a good heart," the actor told Digital Spy.
"What's to come is to see whether he can navigate his way through social interactions to come out a winner or all alone."
These new scenes between Sonia and Reiss will air next week on the soap.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
