Hot on the heels of Maddy Smedley from The Traitors, another reality star has featured as an extra on EastEnders.

Viewers of tonight's (January 18) episode of EastEnders noticed none other than current Love Island contestant Olivia Hawkins.

She was seen in a scene where Zack Hudson walked into Peggy's bar and spoke to Sam Mitchell, following his HIV diagnosis. As the two chatted, there was a shot of Olivia looking over at them.

However, this isn't the actress's first dealing with the BBC soap.

Speaking to The Sun prior to entering the Love Island villa, when asked if she'd like to be on EastEnders, Olivia revealed: "Well funnily enough I actually did doubling for Whitney [Dean] in one of the New Year’s episodes.

"So that would be a very full circle moment, to go on and be one of the characters even if it was just a drop in."

EastEnders is not the only bit of work she's done in front of the cameras. She stated she's been in a film with Jason Statham, played a waitress in a Daniel Craig Bond movie and been a body double for Michelle Keegan.

The Traitors' Maddy, who appeared on the soap back in 2021 as the character of Rita, a homeless woman who had an encounter with Bailey Baker, recently said that she'd love to go back to EastEnders.

"I’d love to be in EastEnders again, I loved working with them," she said. "It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me, I grew up watching the show."

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer. Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
