EastEnders has revealed further details of Dot Branning's funeral episode, which airs later this month.
Show bosses have paid tribute to the late June Brown by writing in an emotional farewell for her iconic Walford character.
New spoilers released today (December 2) have revealed that Sonia Fowler will play a central role in the episode as she struggles with her grief for Dot.
Sonia feels the pressure to do Dot proud after agreeing to give a eulogy at the funeral.

Sonia turns to her ex-husband Martin Fowler for support and also consults with Reverend Mills, who is officiating at the service.
When the day of the funeral arrives, Sonia is in turmoil as she still hasn't written a single sentence of the eulogy and fears that she could ruin everything because she can't find the right words.

As previously announced, Dot's old friends Colin Russell, Mary Smith, Lofty Holloway, Disa O'Brien and Barry Clark will return for the event.
Lauren Branning also jumps on a plane from New Zealand to be part of Dot's emotional send-off.

An EastEnders statement explained: "What follows is a traditional East End funeral with all the pomp and circumstance the legendary Dorothy Branning deserves.
"Along the way, there are some big surprises, fond memories, and a newcomer with a connection to Dot who could change one Walford lady's life.
"For EastEnders' cast and crew, it was a profoundly emotional experience as they said a final farewell to Dot and their cherished colleague, June Brown."
June passed away in April 2022 at the age of 95. Her final appearance in the role of Dot had aired in January 2020.
Plans for Dot's funeral episode were announced for the first time in September. The show later confirmed an extended 40-minute timeslot for the special edition.
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
