EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders fans have predicted a romance between Harvey Monroe and Dotty Cotton may soon be rocking Walford.

Introduced last year, the cab driver played by Ross Boatman has grown closer to Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), leading some to believe he might be interested in his friend's daughter, played by Milly Zero.

If true, this would lead to a big age-gap relationship storyline as Boatman is 35 years Zero's senior.

"Anyone else think something is gonna develop here? I know there's a huge age gap but I can see it being a type of story that the soap would wanna cover in today's day," the viewer offered.

Others seemed to agree, with one person admitting there is "a vibe" about Harvey and Dotty, though they'd prefer the characters wouldn't go there.

"Would be weird and interesting," was another comment, while one fan shared their experience, writing: "It would definitely be interesting but I wouldn't say it's that weird. They're both consenting adults. Sometimes big age gaps work and sometimes they don't."

Last month, Harvey and Dotty weren't exactly on the best of terms, making it hard to believe a romance could actually blossom between the two of them.

In an earlier episode of the BBC One soap, Harvey had a confidence crisis after overhearing some rude comments made by Rocky's daughter. Dotty apologised for her words but the taxi driver wasn't interested in hearing her out.

Later on, he accused her of stealing his wallet in front of Rocky and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth). He even filed a police report, despite Dotty insisting she hadn't taken it.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
