EastEnders has revealed the aftermath of Lola Pearce's devastating diagnosis as she prepares for brain surgery next week.

The BBC soap has been working alongside Brain Tumour Research and Macmillan Cancer Support on the storyline, which will see Lola and her loved ones struggle to deal with the news that she has a life-altering brain tumour.

It initially seems that there could be hope on the horizon for Lola in next week's scenes when she discovers more about the operation she has been booked in for.

After the hospital doctor explains what is going to happen, Lola tries to remain hopeful despite her life-changing situation.

Jay wants to be a pillar of strength for her but unfortunately he is struggling to deal with what is happening as well.
