EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has shared more details on Ricky Butcher's upcoming return to Walford.
Earlier this month, news leaked out that Sid Owen will be reprising the role of Ricky for an upcoming stint. An official announcement wasn't made at the time, but the show has now teased his comeback with some early hints.
In an upcoming storyline, Ricky will be reunited on screen with his sister Janine Butcher and ex-wife Sam Mitchell.

"Ricky has so much history in the Square to explore and while a lot of time has passed since we last saw him, it's fair to say wherever Ricky goes, he always finds himself slap-bang in the middle of mayhem."
Sid Owen added: "I'm delighted to back at EastEnders. I can't wait to see what Ricky Butcher has been up to these past few years and how he's going to react to seeing some familiar faces, including old flames. I'm excited to see the drama unfold."
Ricky's return scenes will air later this year.
