Former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton is finally getting married after numerous delays due to COVID-19.

Louisa, who plays Ruby Allen on the soap, has previously delayed her big day three times before she landed on her most recent date, most recently having to push it back from earlier this month. Lytton and her fiancé Ben Bhanvra were due to exchange their vows in the UK just over a week ago, before jetting off to Italy for their big ceremony.

However, they were forced to ditch their plan to exchange vows in the UK following yet more sickness in their household.

Thankfully though, things have finally taken a turn for the better this week.

Louisa landed in Italy yesterday (June 28) as she prepares to finally get married this weekend.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star and her fiancé were busy making their final preparations, and she showed fans via Instagram Stories that they'd been tasting Prosecco and making tasting notes in their hotel room.

"Prosecco tasting for our Friday evening welcome drinks... in the corridor... outside the room. With the [baby] monitor," she captioned the upload.

In another post shared to her Instagram Story, she teased the wedding again, writing: "Wedding prep whilst madam naps."

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Aura, last year and Lytton has shared she'd like to have another baby.

"I'm an only child, so I've said I'd like more than one," she said while speaking to The Mirror last October. "Ben has two siblings, so he's always said three or four, although I don't think that's going to happen!"

The actress has stated that her family is her priority at the moment, so don't expect her to make a return to Albert Square any time soon.

EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
