EastEnders fans can expect more tension between Kat Slater and Janine Butcher next week.
Kat (Jessie Wallace) prepares herself for a showdown with the schemer, blaming her for Tommy's latest troubles.
In upcoming scenes, Kat tries to get to the bottom of why her son is being so distant with her.
In the end, it's Jean who manages to get Tommy (Sonny Kendall) to open up. He explains that he wants to know where his late father Michael is buried.

Kat takes the baton by talking to Tommy herself and finally gets him to confide in her. However, when she realises the full reasons Tommy has been acting up since the fire, she blames Janine and storms out to look for her.
Meanwhile, Janine (Charlie Brooks) has been facing her own parenting challenges as she's still determined to impress her daughter Scarlett.
Scarlett (Tabitha Byron) has been asked to do a school project on her hero and has chosen disability rights advocate and political activist Helen Keller. However, egotistical Janine is annoyed that she isn't Scarlett's hero.
When Janine makes out that she has lots of friends who are deaf, Scarlett asks if they'll give a talk at the school. Janine scrambles and asks Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) for some help.

Janine ends up giving a presentation to Scarlett's class at school, then heads off to a party at The Vic with her supposed "friends", which has been set up with help from Frankie.
Scarlett is finally being won over by Janine, but things turn sour when Kat arrives to confront Janine over Tommy.
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, October 11 at 8pm and Tuesday, October 12 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
