EastEnders actress Tameka Empson has revealed the backstory of how she came to play Kim Fox.
Set to appear alongside fellow Walford resident Diane Parish in Monday's (July 20) edition of Secrets from the Square, Tameka is quizzed on how she landed the job over a decade ago.

"There I was doing panto," she says. "My friend had a friend called Dominic Treadwell-Collins. He said: 'He'd like to meet you, he works for EastEnders'. I said: 'Oh yeah? Is he buying me a drink?' [laughs].
"After the show, I went down into the bar. He said: 'Would you fancy being in it? How do you see yourself in the show?' I said: 'I don't know, maybe I could be Denise's sister'. I offered that idea – just as a joke."
Diane, who plays Denise Fox, chips in with: "Aunty Kim used to always be talked about. Whenever we were going or disappearing from the Square because someone was going on holiday in real life, we'd go: 'Oh, we're going to Aunty Kim's'."
