Mick Carter and Whitney Dean have lied to police over Leo King's death in EastEnders.
This week has seen Mick (Danny Dyer) struggling over whether to tell police that he was in Whitney's (Shona McGarty) kitchen in the immediate aftermath of her killing Leo.
All of the pressure seemed to be building over Whit's case in Tuesday's episode (February 25), as her lawyer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) worked to devise a winning strategy.
Knowing Gray's abusive tendencies, his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) was alarmed when the lawyer snapped at their two children when they disturbed his work.
"Pack it in, the pair of you," he screamed at them.
Over at the police station, Whitney was facing intense questioning over the events immediately leading up to and following Leo's death, as detectives tried tripping up her claims that she'd acted in self-defence.

"I didn't mean to kill him. He was trying to strangle me," she insisted.
Even Gray was becoming suspicious of Whitney's version of events — and was right to be wary because Whit initially wouldn't admit to calling Mick, in order to protect him.
Gray's frustration continued to build when he found out Whitney caught a taxi to the boat party hours after the killing, along with Kush and Mick.
During a meet-up with Mick, the truth was revealed when Mick admitted his involvement. A furious Gray had finally had enough of the changing stories as he lashed out at Mick.
Once he'd settled down, the lawyer came up with a very controversial strategy for both Whitney and Mick — lie to police and never mention that Mick went into the kitchen when he went to pick up Whitney.
That's exactly what Mick did, telling the investigators that he was nowhere near the kitchen. His explanation seemed to appease investigators at first, but they later turned the tables.
In the interrogation room, the detective accused Whitney of using Callum (Tony Clay) and Kush (Davood Ghadami) to help her hurt Leo and now accused Mick of helping cover up Leo's 'murder'.
"Whitney Dean, you murdered Leo King," the detective insisted. "And I believe we have enough to charge you with his murder."
Tuesday's cliffhanger sets up more traumatic events for Whit, as Kush faces an impossible decision over Whitney's charges while she awaits a decision over her own fate next month.
EastEnders continues on Thursday (February 27) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
