EastEnders has confirmed a change to its opening and closing credits sequence for the show's 35th anniversary week.
The BBC soap will be airing some of its most ambitious episodes to date this week, celebrating the show's big landmark with a boat trip along the Thames that goes tragically wrong.
Show bosses have already confirmed that an unexpected incident on board leads to a shock death, with the unlucky victim's identity being revealed on Friday (February 21).
As we already know, the drama will be kicking off tonight (February 17), with a big episode for the Carters and Whitney Dean.
To mark the milestone occasion, the opening and closing credits have been altered to reflect the darker, more eerie tone of the episodes – which are set at night.
Viewers will know that this isn't the first time the show has used these opening credits, as they were also utilised during the flashback episode which unveiled Lucy Beale's killer back in 2015.
