Sonia Fowler now faces being caught for stealing Dot Cotton's money in EastEnders.
Earlier this week, Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) took money from her step-grandmother's bank account for the second time since Christmas — having previously blamed her theft on hackers.
Sonia used one of Dot's personal cheques in this latest incident to pay herself £8,000. She did it to pay off the man who ex-husband Martin Fowler (James Bye) injured in the Christmas hit-and-run crash.
Everything came crashing down in Friday's (January 17) episode, after Sonia first thought she'd got away with her scheme by buying George's silence.
"Your old man is in the clear. We're done," he promised. "I hope he knows he's got himself a diamond bird."
She later joined Martin for a very romantic drink at the pub, with Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) relishing in seeing how the long-time on-off couple were looking lovey-dovey once again.

But a nasty surprise was waiting for Martin once he returned back to the Fowler house — he was served divorce papers from estranged wife Stacey (Lacey Turner)!
With that bombshell swimming in his head, Martin went to meet Sonia and revealed that Stacey was filing for divorce on the grounds that he'd committed adultery.
"I really thought I was over her," he told a shocked Sonia. "I still love her. I don't want to lose you. You're my best mate, and it's because of you that I was able to hold it all together."
"Don't patronise me," Sonia demanded. "I'm not anybody's substitute. You've got no idea what I've done for you! No idea!"

The night went from bad to worse for Sonia, as she returned home to find a frantic Dot who had discovered that someone stole money from her yet again!
"Who could have done a thing like that, Sonia?" Dot cried out.
