'The Old Phil Mitchell' is back in EastEnders to terrorise an innocent Jack Branning.
Phil (Steve McFadden) remains intent on revenge against Jack (Scott Maslen) because he believes the former cop is the father of his wife Sharon's (Letitia Dean) unborn child.
Though Ben (Max Bowden) had seemingly convinced his father to give up the grudge, Phil secretly put a plan in motion to get even with Jack once and for all.
In Tuesday's (December 17) episode, Jack was confronted on the street by two of Phil's goons while he was chatting away on his mobile. Within seconds, they'd thrown a black hood over his head and bundled him into the back of a van.
Ben realised something was up when he couldn't track down Jack, but Phil pretended not to know anything about it — and sent his son out on a car delivery job.
"You will feel better when I've dealt with [Jack]," Ben assured him.

As Ben pulled away, Phill sneered: "We'll see."
Phil then walked around the Arches to reveal that a beaten-up Jack had been dumped down in the pit.
Before long, Ben realised he'd been sent on a fool's errand and rushed back to the Arches, where he could hear Phil viciously attacking Jack inside the locked garage.
"I want you to be awake for every last second of this," Phil shouted as he kicked a bleeding Jack.
Ben made an emergency call begging Keanu (Danny Walters) to rush to The Arches with the keys. When they finally broke into the garage, Ben stopped Phil just as he was about to light Jack on fire!
"Not like this! We'll make him pay. He will regret crossing you, I swear," Ben begged his father.
Phil ordered Keanu to finally get the bloodied Jack out of the pit — but the tense situation spiralled when Phil then tied Jack to a chair and stuck a gun to his head.
Even though Jack denied he'd done anything wrong, a crazed Phil insisted: "Everyone who betrays me gets what's coming to them! Everyone!"
Keanu was overcome with guilt as Phil cocked the gun, seconds away from blowing Jack away at point-blank range.
But will Keanu tell Phil that he is actually the father of Sharon's baby, before an innocent life is taken?
EastEnders will reveal all on Thursday (December 19) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
