EastEnders' Sonia Fowler will make a heartbreaking discovery as her daughter Bex is treated in hospital tonight (October 4).
Bex (Jasmine Armfield) tried to take her own life in Thursday's devastating episode, when all the pressure of recent months came to a head.
As Bex is taken away in an ambulance, her family are relieved when she later regains consciousness in hospital.
However, another shock soon awaits an already-struggling Sonia when Stuart Highway arrives with the note the Bex left in her bedroom.
When Stuart finds the letter Bex wrote to her mum and dad, he tentatively gives it to Sonia – who is adamant that what happened to her daughter was an accident.

With the reality of the situation starting to sink in, a heartbroken Sonia later tells Stuart that she blames herself.
To make matters worse for Sonia, she is also having a difficult time getting hold of her ex-husband Martin, who fled Walford with his wife Stacey back in the summer.
Although Sonia will grow increasingly frustrated by Martin's failure to pick up, spoilers have already revealed that he will be back in the Square by the time next week arrives...
EastEnders airs these scenes tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
