EastEnders viewers were left fearing for Rainie Branning's life tonight (July 19) as she was brutally beaten in a money-making scheme gone wrong.
Rainie recently did a runner from Albert Square with baby Abi after stealing Jack's money, and upon her return has resorted to prostitution to scrap together as much money as she can.
And tonight's scenes saw Rainie come up with a shady new plan to get money from men by tricking them into handing over their cash before sleeping with them.
The idea was for Stuart Highway to then intervene and scare the men away before anything happened, but he got held up helping an old lady who spilt the contents of her bag on the floor.
Meanwhile, the man Rainie was with ended up turning nasty and brutally attacked her after she refused to have sex with him.
At the end of the episode, Stuart brought a battered Rainie back to the Beales', but with Max promising to 'kill her' if he sees her again, is anywhere going to be safe for her?
