Coming up on Coronation Street, Evelyn Plummer will cause big trouble for Roy Cropper after he's forced to move in with her.

When Roy (David Neilson) is told to vacate the cafe due to an electric fault, Tyrone quickly is keen to help out and offers him a place to stay.

Unsurprisingly, Tyrone's kind gesture infuriates Evelyn, who is less than impressed to discover her grandson has offered Roy her bed and she’s now sharing with Ruby.

Although Roy attempts to make an effort at No. 9, Evelyn continues to act coldly towards him and is horrified when she learns he could be there for a number of weeks.

As Evelyn makes her feelings known, she even tries to get Roy thrown out of the house by telling Tyrone and Michelle that he clearly still holds a torch for her.

Unimpressed with her scheming, Tyrone warns her to start being nice to Roy or she'll be out on her ear.

Sure enough, Evelyn is soon getting protective of Roy when she suspects Larry the electrician has done a botch job of the cafe wiring and is trying to fleece him.

However, when Evelyn returns home and confirms that she’s sorted out Larry, Roy can't help but worry that she’s done something foolish. Is he right to be suspicious?
