EastEnders viewers have finally met Karen Taylor and Mitch Baker's long-lost daughter Chantelle after years of campaigning on social media.
Karen (Lorraine Stanley) and Mitch's (Roger Griffiths) grown daughter has oft been mentioned during Taylor family squabbles over the years, but made her first-ever on-screen appearance during Tuesday's (March 26) episode.
Some viewers initially weren't aware they were meeting Chantelle when former Neon Jungle singer Jessica Kate Plummer showed up unannounced while Denise and Kim were recruiting for their pop-up salon.
None of the other recruits had impressed Kim (Tameka Empson), but Chantelle dazzled her with her hairstyling and was offered a job on the spot.
"Uh, I got the job?" a seemingly clueless Chantelle asked.
Denise and Kim were quick to gloat about their promising recruit to Mitch Baker, since they are all competing for an investment from Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker).

However, everyone was shocked when a gobsmacked Mitch found out that they'd just hired his long-lost daughter Chantelle when she turned up in the Vic.

The already-extended Taylor family is only going to get more crowded because EastEnders will soon be introducing Chantelle's husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) and their children, Mia and Mackenzie, into the mix!
EastEnders senior executive producer Kate Oates recently promised that the "tough, sharp and streetwise" Chantelle is going to majorly shake things up in the Taylor house.
"To the rest of the Taylor family, she is definitely the one who's 'done good': leaving home early, and landing on her feet marrying the handsome and successful Gray," the producer teased.
"But will Chantelle’s picture-perfect lifestyle put her and Gray into conflict with the rest of her family?”
