EastEnders will continue to revisit Heather Trott's tragic death plot tonight (March 22) as Linda Carter arranges a touching tribute for her in The Vic.

Shirley's best friend Heather was killed by Ben Mitchell in 2012, when an argument between them got drastically out of hand.

Feeling guilty over forgetting to mark the anniversary of Heather's demise, Linda will try to make amends by arranging a karaoke event in the pub in Friday's episode.

Linda is hoping the occasion will bring everyone together to remember Shirley's pal and is soon belting out some of Heather's favourite '80s songs as the night gets under way.

However, with Shirley in no mood to attend, Phil attempts to reach out to her later on – acutely aware of how difficult the day is for her.

Unfortunately, Phil's gesture backfires when Shirley retaliates by bringing up Ben and tells him to leave her alone.

Despite rejecting Phil's support, Shirley reconsiders Linda's idea and decides to attend the tribute night after all.

Of course, we know that Heather's killer Ben will soon be back in Walford with a new face, following the news that Max Bowden is taking over the role.

EastEnders airs these scenes tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
