EastEnders will revisit Heather Trott's tragic death plot next week, as Linda Carter arranges a touching tribute for her in The Vic.

Shirley's best friend Heather was killed by Ben Mitchell in 2012, when an argument got drastically out of hand.

Aware that it's the anniversary of Heather's death, Linda (Kellie Bright) will reach out to a despondent Shirley (Linda Henry) next week and comes up with a plan to cheer her up.

Feeling guilty for not acknowledging the date sooner, Linda arranges a karaoke night in the pub and is soon belting out some of Heather's favourite songs.

With Phil also aware that it's Heather's anniversary, he makes his own attempt to reach out to Shirley when he sees her later.

However, Phil quickly regrets his actions when Shirley retaliates by bringing up Ben, before insisting that he leaves her alone.

Despite rejecting Phil's support, Shirley starts to think over Linda's idea and eventually joins the celebrations in The Vic.

Of course, viewers know that Heather's killer Ben will soon be back in Walford with a new face, following the news that Max Bowden is taking over the role.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Friday, March 22 at 8pm on BBC One.
