EastEnders has revealed that Alfie Moon is still alive after his furious Christmas showdown with Kat and Hayley.
The BBC soap's Christmas Day cliffhanger saw Alfie (Shane Richie) feared dead after Hayley pushed him down the stairs in a furious argument.
Picking up directly afterwards, EastEnders' Boxing Day episode saw the Slaters in complete turmoil as they frantically considered their next move.
After moving Alfie into the living room, Kat (Jessie Wallace), Hayley (Katie Jarvis) and Stacey (Lacey Turner) delayed calling an ambulance as they were in shock and struggling with how to get their stories straight for the police.
Jean (Gillian Wright) also found herself drawn into the dark drama when she arrived home unexpectedly and spotted Alfie's lifeless body. Even though the others tried to distract her, she ultimately took matters into her own hands by calling an ambulance.
Leaving Alfie alone in the living room, the Slaters moved to the kitchen to make a final decision over whether to lie to the police that he fell, rather than being pushed.

When the police arrived, the family chose to cover for Hayley by claiming that Alfie's fall was a terrible accident.
Leading the police into the living room to see Alfie, the Slaters were left shellshocked to discover that he'd disappeared and baby Cherry was missing from her crib upstairs.
Unbeknown to them all, Alfie had regained consciousness while they were in the kitchen and crept upstairs to do a runner with his daughter.
While Hayley has escaped the possibility of being hit with a murder charge, could she now face a whole new nightmare as she has no idea where Alfie has gone with their little girl?
