As the day of the carol concert arrives, Jean is determined to make it perfect but Stacey continues to grow concerned about her behaviour. When there's an incident over Arthur's birthday cake, Stacey finally confronts her mum.
Hayley overhears the conversation and jumps to Jean's defence, revealing the secret that Jean has started dating Ian. Stacey is furious and confronts Ian, but she warms to the idea when she realises how much Jean likes him.
Meanwhile, Kat rebuffs Alfie's attentions when he produces her wedding ring.
Elsewhere, Kim goes into labour while trapped in the Minute Mart store room with Phil, who's forced to help her. Later, Denise realises something is amiss when Kim misses the carol concert. After spotting the ambulance at the Minute Mart, Denise finds Kim with her newborn baby.
Also today, Linda makes a worrying discovery about Mick and wonders what he's done, while Keanu buys a present for Sharon when he wrongly believes that she's returning home.
