Congratulations are in order for former Coronation Street star Calum Lill and his fiancée Roberta Mcclarron, who have welcomed a child. The couple shared the happy news on Instagram, posting a series of photos of baby Primrose's first month.

The happy couple can be seen smiling in the sun together with Primrose, while another adorable snap shows the baby girl wrapped in a blanket. The post also had a caption, which read: "Welcome to the world Primrose Lill. Here's her first month in pictures."

"We’re very tired but happier than ever," they added. "Thank you to our family and friends for all your support. You’ve been amazing and we’re very grateful 🙏 And to our beautiful baby girl, you are perfect."

Lill, who portrayed Joel Deering on the ITV soap, was supported by many of his former co-stars in the comments, with Mollie Gallagher and Tanisha Gorey - who play Nina Lucas and Asha Alahan respectively - sending their congratulations.

Channique Sterling-Brown, who played Dee Dee Bailey, offered her congratulations, writing: "So proud of you guys and welcome gorgeous Primrose, pleasure to have been on the name committee."

Lill made his official exit from the role of Joel in September 2024, when the villainous character was murdered by Lauren Bolton. He returned in July for a special one-off appearance, as part of a hallucination sequence involving Lauren.

At the time of his exit, the actor paid tribute to Roberta on Instagram, writing: "Ah my partner in crime. For the last year I've been totally focused on my career which has meant you have come second and I've hardly seen you."

"Some people might have gotten upset or pissed off at this, but you have done nothing but support me in chasing my dream. On top of your own job, you've looked after our home," added the star, who also appeared in Hollyoaks.

"You've done pretty much all of the cooking and cleaning, all my washing, the pots, the decorating, and you've taken it in your stride and never grumbled even on the many days when I was gone before you woke up and got into bed after you were asleep."

The actor concluded by writing: "You did this because you knew it's what I needed and you supported me completely. I'm so grateful to have you in my life and that you agreed to marry me. Thanks for being amazing."

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
