Coronation Street spoilers follow for Monday’s episode (23 June), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Coronation Street has aired the surprise return of a major character in today’s episode, as the dramatic teen drugs story unfolds.
Aadi was encouraged by Bernie to throw a midsummer party, but the invite list quickly got out of hand as the Street’s teens and many other strangers arrived for the bash.
Amy and Aadi grew closer once again and kissed, but Aadi later overheard Amy admitting that she felt nothing – not realising that it was because she was still struggling after her ordeal with Aaron.
Brody arrived at the party with some LSD, but he ended up in a fight with Aadi who spotted the drugs. Brody left without the substance, so Aadi suggested to Nina and Summer that they take the drugs themselves.

While Nina and Summer took the LSD, distracted Aadi later returned to the kitchen and found that his cup was gone. Aadi was briefly scared that Asha drank the substance then left for her paramedic shift, but he soon established that his sister was fine.
Aadi and Asha eventually realised that it was Lauren who took the LSD. Lauren wandered into the ginnel, where she started hallucinating and saw visions of her late abuser Joel – with Calum Lill reprising his role for the episode.
Running from imaginary Joel, Lauren let herself into the factory, which Betsy forgot to lock. Aadi followed her and tried to help, but Lauren mistook his voice for Joel’s.

Lauren was distraught by her experience on drugs and went to sleep in Aadi’s bed. While Aadi was firmly in Asha’s bad books, he was relieved that the situation was in hand.
