Coronation Street's Daniel Osbourne received an important warning tonight, amid his blossoming friendship with Jodie Ramsey. When David Platt noticed the pair's recent closeness, he shared his concerns about his shady sister-in-law.
But with the teacher currently unaware that Jodie is responsible for his vicious online trolling, he chose to ignore David's advice. Will he discover the truth about his new friend before it's too late?

In tonight's episode, a dejected Daniel moped around the street, still upset about his recent suspension from work and online abuse. He explained that he had left his phone at home so he wouldn't have to read the nasty comments about his relationship with groomer Megan Walsh.
Daniel then returned to the Bistro with Jodie in tow, to apologise to Nick Tilsley for accusing him and David of being trolls. After the pair made up, Jodie asked for a table, announcing that it was her birthday.

"Do I get a free bottle of cava? Cake or summat?" she asked, having seen him dish out freebies a few days before.
Daniel was shocked to hear it was Jodie's birthday, especially as her family hadn't made a fuss of her. Jodie explained that Shona had "forgotten", and lied that things were still "complicated" between herself and David.
Later, the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to the schemer, with Nick bringing over a cake. But the celebrations were interrupted by Shona who revealed that Jodie's actual birthday was in December.

"Sorry. It was just a bit of fun. I didn't mean any harm. I thought a few cheeky freebies would cheer you up," Jodie told Daniel, who was luckily amused by the whole charade.
As the two sisters went to get more drinks, David used the opportunity to have a private word with Daniel and pointed out his sudden friendship with Jodie. He told Daniel that she was "trouble" and warned him to "be careful".
However, having only heard Jodie's version of events about her clash with David, Daniel was less than impressed with his advice. He insinuated that there was something romantic between the pair, leaving David puzzled.
"Look, you can drop the act okay, because I know about the two of you," he replied, winking. "Don't worry, though. Your secret's safe with me."
Will Jodie be able to manipulate her way further into Daniel's life, or will he finally see the truth?
