Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor has shared a major career milestone, as this month marks four decades since she first appeared on our screens as Sally Metcalfe (Sally Seddon at first, and Sally Webster for a while).
The actor shared a 40th anniversary card from her co-star Tony Maudsley today, which had a cartoon of her very first scene — Sally getting splashed by Kevin's car driving through a puddle — on the front.
It's actually not 40 years to the day since her Corrie debut. That was 27 January 1986, but it's close enough.
"I can’t believe it’s 40 years in Corrie this month," she wrote on her Instagram. "What a ride it has been. Love what I do so much. Thank you @tonymaudsley1 for this it's wonderful."
"You are very welcome Sal. Happy Corriversary, you massive legend," Maudsley commented.

Other Corrie stars also left messages of love and support in the comments, including Simon Gregson, who wrote: "Happy anniversary lovely Sally."
"You're a bloody amazing!!!! Congrats you iconic queen," Cait Fitton said, while Sally Carman-Duttine commented: "How is this possible? You're only 36."
"So lucky I get to share even a small part of that journey on screen with you," Savana Pennington added. "You’re truly my idol, and your kindness and beautiful soul shine just as brightly off screen as on it."

Claire Sweeney, Helen Flanagan, Brooke Vincent, and Michelle Keegan were among the other Corrie stars to comment on the post, while Emmerdale's Michelle Hardwick also congratulated her on the anniversary.
Last year, Dynevor said that she would remain on the soap for as long as possible, stating that she'd happily carry on playing the character throughout her 70s and 80s.
Meanwhile, Corrie producer Kate Brooks teased that Sally's (the character) husband Tim will became entangled in one of the soap's darkest current storylines soon.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX and YouTube.
