Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Fans expecting to watch Coronation Street tonight are in for disappointment as it won't be airing as usual – though will be back soon.
While the show usually airs on Wednesdays at 8pm, it has been temporarily replaced this evening due to the Grimsby Town vs Manchester United Carabao Cub match, which is being broadcast from 7.30pm.
Emmerdale is still airing, though has been moved forward half an hour from its usual slot to 7pm.
To make up for the replacement, Coronation Street showed its Wednesday episode yesterday evening instead, and thankfully the soap will be back to its usual schedule on Friday at 8pm.
Last night's episode explained how Aadi Alahan bowed out of Weatherfield in emotional scenes, with actor Adam Hussain departing the show.

Earlier this week, the soap aired a special episode focused on Aadi's sister Asha as she experienced a distressing paramedic shift.
Speaking previously about the storyline, Asha actor Tanisha Gorey said: "I feel honoured to be trusted with a storyline of this scale and significance.
"Stepping into the shoes of a trainee paramedic and exploring the highs, lows, and emotional challenges of their work has been both moving and eye-opening.
"It's a role that carries a huge responsibility, and I hope we've done justice to the reality so many face. If this story reaches even one person, sparks a conversation, or offers a moment of understanding, then it's served its purpose."
In other Coronation Street news, it has been confirmed that Evelyn Plummer will return to the cobbles next week after six months away.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
