Coronation Street's Maria Connor had a surprise visit from the police after getting in a fight with Lou Michaelis.
The two women had a falling out at Shona and David Platt's housewarming barbecue, where Maria suspected Lou of trying to steal Audrey's takings from the salon.
After confronting Lou, viewers saw Maria and Lou get into a scrap, before cutting away and finding Lou on the floor, with blood on her arms having fallen on David's new coffee table. But was she pushed by Maria or was it an accident?
Tension between the two has been high since Craig's funeral, and earlier in the episode, Maria warned Lou to stay clear of her family after finding Lou chatting to her son in the cafe.
Having overheard Maria's conversation in the cafe, Lou wanted to score an invite to the Platt's barbecue and found her opportunity after Shona left her phone at the salon while picking up an envelope of cash to bank for Audrey.

Lou arrived at the barbecue with the phone and Shona invited her to stay much to the annoyance of Maria.
While the Platts and their guests were occupied by the cooking, Lou snuck off inside and found Shona's bag on the sofa with the envelope of cash in. She deliberated whether to take the money or not, before putting it back.
Noticing Lou's absence, Maria then entered and saw Lou putting the envelope back in Shona's bag. "I knew it, I knew exactly what you were doing, you thieving cow," she said confronting Lou.

Lou denied she had stolen the money and the two started to shove one another. The action then flitted to the barbecue outside, where guests heard a loud smashing sound. David, Shona and their guests rushed in and found Lou with a bloodied arm on the floor.
Sarah Platt joked that Lou was drunk, but Lou protested: "I didn't fall and I'm not drunk, she pushed me."
Maria then told the others she caught Lou stealing the money, but Shona opened her bag and found the cash still in the envelope.

Maria's husband Gary took Lou to A&E to get her arm stitched up, while Maria confessed to David, Shona and Audrey that she did get in a scuffle with Lou, but swore she didn't push her.
At the hospital, Lou threatened to report Maria to the police but Gary explained that the couple were going through a hard time and asked her not to involve the police. Instead, he offered an apology from Maria.
Gary returned from A&E and back at the flat he confronted Maria, telling her to apologise. Maria was upset and claimed that Gary thought she was a liar and didn't believe her version of events. The two argued further when Maria accused Gary of fancying Lou, feeling that he always took Lou's side over hers.
Maria escaped Gary and the flat and went to the Rovers Return to have a debrief and drink with Sarah, but the two were interrupted by two police officers looking for Maria.
Turns out Lou decided to go to the police after all and Maria was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).
Viewers only saw Lou injured on the floor post-fall out with Maria, so was she pushed or was it all just an accident?
