Coronation Street's new villain Mick Michaelis is set to get involved in a nasty theft row with Debbie Webster.
The soap has begun a devastating storyline for Debbie this week as the character is set to be diagnosed with dementia, which will lead to her eventual exit from the soap.
Scenes airing tonight will show first signs that things aren't right with Debbie's memory, as she takes a call from the hotel revealing there's an issue with the electrics.

She signs up Mick to help, though he tells her that it was part of a planned outage and that she was sent an email from the company – though Debbie is sure she never received it and refuses to pay him.

Mick tries to get his money again before Debbie hands him half, suggesting he whistle for the rest as he didn't do anything. This leaves Mick furious, as Ronnie worries that she has messed with the wrong man.
In follow-on scenes airing next Tuesday, Mick gives Debbie an invoice for the remaining £150, though she tells him that she doesn't intend to pay it.

However, she realises her purse is missing, and accuses Mick of stealing it before Ronnie confronts him.
Is her hunch correct, and is the feud between Debbie and Mick going to escalate?
Debbie's dementia storyline has provoked a backlash from some fans, with a petition launched urging Coronation Street to "reconsider" her exit, as Debbie is "a symbol of what makes Corrie unique: relatable characters with depth, humour, and a sense of family".
