Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Mason Radcliffe has stopped Dylan Wilson from apologising to Liam Connor in Coronation Street.

The bully sunk to a new low in Wednesday's (February 21) episode, after it appeared he'd got away with his relentless harassment of Liam due to abusive social media messages being deleted.

Viewers have also seen Dylan beginning to show his remorse for what he's put his former mate through, especially now that Sean Tully is aware of what's been happening.

The latest instalment revolved around Dylan's birthday, as Eileen and George tried to give the teen an upbeat celebration.

Sean was not in the mood to celebrate though, still furious with his son for his role in the bullying. The rift came to a head after Dylan opened a birthday present from Sean — a watch engraved for the special occasion.

Dylan could hold in his guilt no longer, admitting to George that he's felt miserable about the way he's treated his friend.

Asked why he'd gone along with the bullying, Dylan explained: "I think I was just scared, you know, the fact that Mason could have done the same to me."

George recalled that he'd been bullied at school, referring to that period as the worst time of his life. He reminded Dylan it was in his power to apologise and make things right with Liam.

Dylan eventually told Sean he would directly apologise to Liam, only to be cut off by Mason before he could actually do it.

Mason caught Dylan trying to knock on Liam's door, so Dylan tried to play it off like he'd been made to apologise by his dad.

"I'm just trying to keep everyone sweet, that's all," Dylan declared.

Mason ordered him not to speak to Liam at school, forcing Dylan to reluctantly agree. The bully then convinced Dylan to come along with him rather than apologise.

Will Dylan ever apologise to Liam?
