Carla Barlow will be left shocked on Coronation Street after Michael Bailey returns to Underworld.
The business was left in jeopardy last month, with Michael being tricked into giving the duplicitous Stephen Reid the access codes in order to complete a transaction.
Michael realised his mistake as £250,000 was stolen, with Carla left to pick up the pieces following her return from Spain in next week’s scenes.

She is understandably on edge amidst the financial trouble, showcasing a frosty relationship with both Peter and Sarah as she seeks to resolve the matter.

Her rapport with Sarah worsens as she discovers that she had given Michael his job back, though Sarah stands her ground and explains that it wasn’t his fault for the loss of the money.
He attempts to get in Carla’s good books by unveiling new designs, but she is initially nonplussed as she struggles to overlook his lapse in judgement.
She soon requires his help, however, with a new client coming to Underworld and the prospect of a deal on the horizon.

The dramatic storyline was teased earlier last month, with actor Ryan Russell explaining that Michael will initially feel the wrath of Carla before forgiveness is an option.
"The wrath of Carla! If I [Michael] can make her double what he loses – half a million – then she might forgive him, but until that day I imagine Carla is not going to be happy," he said.
"There's a line where Carla is like: 'How could you be so stupid, Michael?' That really hit home. I really felt that! It felt like getting told off by your mum. I think it will have an impact on him [but] he's very resilient."
