Coronation Street's Stephen Reid is set to face another major setback as his dark secrets face the possibility of being exposed.
The pressure has piled on for the killer recently, as last night's (June 12) episode saw Stephen rage after Owen – who is in advanced negotiations to buy the factory from Carla Barlow – vowed to fire him from his job when the contracts are signed.
While Stephen tried to urge Carla to reconsider the sale, she didn't back down, later leading him to trash the factory floor in his rage.

In new scenes set to air on the soap, Stephen looks wistfully at Jenny in the Rovers, wishing that he was in a relationship with her.

He then transfers £480 from the Underworld account to a private account to pay the next instalment of the life insurance policy he has taken out on Elaine, using the name Seagull Ltd.
However, Carla informs him that Owen is demanding to see the company accounts, leading Stephen to mask his anxiety over potentially being caught out.

Todd Boyce recently spoke about whether his Corrie character is starting to unravel, explaining: "We are going to see Stephen start taking risks as he gets more desperate.
"His life is starting to unravel and it is going to be interesting to see how he deals with the pressure. He is bound to start making mistakes and that could be his undoing."
