Coronation Street's Colson Smith has revealed that his character may be getting a bit darker in the current storyline.
Viewers will know Craig Tinker (Smith) got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Faye Windass (Ellie Leach), recently, and although she said yes, it is clear she isn't sure it's what she wants.
The proposal came after she shared a passionate kiss with ex and her daughter Miley's dad, Jackson Hodge (Joseph William Evans), which Craig knows nothing about.
"I think Craig is just bizarrely isn't bright enough in this situation to realise," Smith told Inside Soap. "There is only so far the nice guy can be pushed. Jackson's pushing the limits and I think Faye might be as well."
Faye did accept Craig's heartfelt proposal, which featured a small crowd of onlookers, however, Jackson told Craig all about the kiss, and that Faye was considering moving away with him.
Craig understandably wanted answers from Faye on where they actually stood with their relationship, with Faye desperately insisting he was the only man in her life.

"I told [Jackson] that there's no future for us, and that all we are are co-parents to Miley," Faye told Craig. "I wouldn't have accepted this [engagement ring] otherwise!"
She then assured him: "I know what I want in my life and that's you, Craig."
However, with it being confirmed that Ellie will be leaving the soap after her 12-year stint, fans will be interested to know if she will pick either Craig or Jackson – if either.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
