Sarah Barlow has made a big decision after Carla's offer in Coronation Street.

Monday's visit to Weatherfield saw Carla throw Sarah a lifeline, after her employee was caught out using the factory to jump-start a rival business with Michael Bailey.

Carla offered to let Sarah continue working on her designs in the factory, so long as she offered her a public apology. She then instructed Stephen to patch-up the deal with buyer Rufus for a permanent contract.

Stephen was left at his wit's end once again when Rufus refused the contract, saying he didn't want anything to do with Carla or Sarah.

The night went from bad to worse when Rufus handed Stephen a vial of LSD and then collapsed after snorting a line of cocaine in the restroom.

After a call from Carla urging Stephen to get the deal done, he panicked as paramedics wheeled off Rufus. Stephen was ready to forge Rufus's signature on the contract when a sex worker called Candice barged into the hotel room.

Stephen was bombarded with demands from Candice to pay her what she's owed, giving him an idea of how he could salvage the whole deal.

Rufus received a visit in the hospital from Stephen, where he blackmailed the buyer into signing an exclusive contract with the factory or else he'd release a voicemail from Candice talking about paying for sex.

Later, Stephen was relieved to deliver the signed contract to Carla and save his job, though she warned him not to pull any tricks again.

"You really don't want to make an enemy out of me," she insisted.

In the end, Sarah also agreed to make peace with Carla by apologising and accepting an offer to return to work at the factory. However, Sarah was immediately put back in her place when Carla had her back on coffee duty.

Soap bosses have already confirmed that Carla and Stephen's feud will intensify this week as he tries to get her out of the way at the factory by dosing her coffee with the LSD he got from Rufus.
