Coronation Street's Summer Spellman to surprise Aaron with baby plan

A pregnant Summer got quite a proposition from Esther in recent scenes that aired on Coronation Street.

She soon comes to a decision over Esther's adoption offer – and it leaves Aaron blindsided.

The young couple has had their fair share of problems of late, with Aaron feeling the strain of having an alcoholic father who is in need of a stint in rehab.

Unfortunately for Aaron, it will cost £10,000 to get his dad into the clinic, and he knows that they have zero chance of getting the cash together to be able to afford it.

With that and everything else on her mind, Summer heads off to meet with Esther and Mike at a private hospital. When she gets there, she tells the couple that she wants to accept their offer for them to adopt the baby.

They all attend the scan, and Mike makes a point of reassuring Summer that she has made the right decision for everyone, telling her that they will provide her with all the emotional and financial support she needs going forward.

Summer already has a request to make though, and she asks if she can have £10,000 of the payment made early – which they agree to.

With that all taken care of, now Summer needs to tell Aaron what is happening, and he gets a series of shocks with the first being that she's still pregnant.

She then tells him all about Mike and Esther and their plans for the baby, and that she now has the money he needs to send his dad off to rehab so he can get better.

But how will Aaron react to this massive decision being made without him?
