Coronation Street spoilers follow.

A dramatic situation came to a head with Jenny Connor, Leo Thompkins and scheming businessman Stephen Reid in Coronation Street tonight (September 2), resolving a brief love triangle between the trio.

At the beginning of the episode, Jenny assured Rita Tanner that she'll get over Leo following their split, even though their relationship was fun while it lasted.

Rita wasn't so sure and could tell that Jenny was merely putting on a brave face.

Following a conversation with Sarah Barlow in the Rovers, Stephen's interest in Jenny was piqued as he discovered she's the sole owner of the pub and therefore a prime target for his scheming.

As Jenny became tipsy while trying to deal with her split from Leo, she ended up kissing Stephen in the back room of the pub. However, she hadn't realised that Rita and Gemma Winter had been trying to convince Leo not to leave for Canada.

After Leo returned to the pub with an engagement ring, Gemma walked in on Jenny and Stephen kissing and managed to usher Leo back to the bar before he found them. Back in the bar, Leo got down on one knee and asked Jenny to marry him.

After she said yes, Jenny agreed to go to Canada with Leo, and the pair later joined Rita and Gemma for a celebratory meal.

Jenny confided in Gemma that she felt guilty and wanted to confess what had happened with Stephen, but Gemma convinced her otherwise, before Rita persuaded Leo to make a speech. Following an awkward few words, Leo promised he'd do better at the wedding and raised a toast to Jenny, who looked very guilty about what she'd done.

Later, Sarah introduced Leo to Stephen, saying he might have opportunities and contacts for him in Canada, which led to Leo asking for his number. While Jenny tried to put him off, Leo was keen to see what the connection could bring and suggested the trio arrange a drink together.
