Kelly Neelan and Aadi Alahan are now officially engaged in Coronation Street.
With cast member Millie Gibson set to depart the cobbles soon, soap bosses lined up an intriguing storyline where the teen couple pretended to be engaged to win a holiday to Mexico.
Friday's (August 26) episode made both Kelly and Aadi doubt whether they should be together after they flunked a marriage quiz for the competition.

Back on the cobbles, Dev congratulated Aadi on passing his driver's test with the keys to a new car. However, Kelly was furious when she heard Aadi tell his sister Asha he wasn't serious about getting married.

Kelly angrily stole Aadi's car and crashed it before he even had a chance to drive it himself. While it looked like it might be over, the debacle actually brought Kelly and Aadi closer together.
After the two made up, Kelly had a very candid confession for Aadi as they discussed the realities of marriage.
"I reckon I'd quite like being married to you," she shared.
Kelly was shocked when Aadi decided to "live in the moment" by proposing to her for real, telling her: "For reals this time, and I don't care that my dad thinks you're a bad influence. Or everybody thinks we're too young.
"I love you with all my heart and that's never going to change. So, whatever happens with the competition, will you marry me?"
"Yeah, alright then, I will," Kelly answered.
The loved-up couple shared a heartwarming hug, but will their enthusiasm change once their loved ones find out about their engagement?
