Coronation Street to bring back Will Mellor as Harvey Gaskell

One of Coronation Street's most dangerous villains may be about to return to Weatherfield.

Will Mellor has reportedly been seen filming in character as the soap's killer Harvey Gaskell (via Metro), currently behind bars for his crimes.

It seems that an upcoming storyline will bring Harvey back, potentially exploring how he's spending his time behind bars. Further details are currently being kept closed under wraps by the show's team.

As fans of the soap will recall, Harvey has caused great pain to the Corrie community when he tragically shot and killed Sam's (Jude Riordan) mum Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) believing her to be Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

Last week, Mellor was announced as the first contestant of this year's Strictly Come Dancing. The actor said he was "so chuffed" to be taking part in the BBC's dancing contest.

"Not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about," he added.

Alongside the soap star, the 2022's lineup includes another Coronation Street star, Kym Marsh, who played Michelle Connor on the soap for 13 years, before exiting in 2019.
