Coronation Street's Zeedan and Alya make big decision over Stu

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Zeedan and Alya Nazir defy their grandmother Yasmeen Metcalfe next week by teaming up to help Stu Carpenter.

The ITV soap has recently aired a big twist for Stu's storyline, as his ex-wife Lucy arrived last week and claimed that he's a killer.

Stu confirmed that he did once confess to murdering a woman and served a long stretch in prison for the crime, but he's adamant that he wasn't really responsible.

In next week's episodes, Zeedan is intrigued to uncover some information which could back up Stu's version of events.

Stu is claiming that a detective persecuted him and tried to fit him up for the crime. Zeedan learns that the copper in question took early retirement for a spurious reason.

Zeedan asks local policeman Craig Tinker to find out more. When Zeedan and Yasmeen both then receive letters from Stu, who's back in prison for causing a disturbance at the Nazir house, Yasmeen takes control by binning them.

Zeedan remains sceptical that Stu is guilty, so he goes ahead and visits him in prison.

Stu explains that his case files could help to prove his innocence and begs Zeedan to help him secure them.

Zeedan accepts the mission and asks Adam Barlow to request Stu's files. However, when word of this gets back to Yasmeen, she's horrified and confronts Zeedan for going behind her back.

Later in the week, Adam warns Zeedan that it will cost £1,200 to access Stu's case files.

Zeedan begs Alya to help him by paying half of this fee.

Reluctantly, Alya joins Zeedan at Adam's office and they hand over the cash. Will the files prove Stu's innocence?
